In March 2021 we emailed our BMMHS Supporters to not only determine your appetite for returning to Woodcote Village Hall for live meetings but also to establish when you would consider it safe for us to re-start our talks. It is hard to believe that it is over 12 months since we last had the chance to meet up, enjoy the talk and have a good chat and a drink together.
We have had in excess of 100 of you who kindly responded to our survey and published below are the highlights from that survey.

It has become increasingly clear that one of the benefits of the BMMHS Zoom talks is that they have helped to extend our geographic reach. For those of you who responded with a No, for the majority of you it was clearly down to distance including a number of you who reside overseas.
We asked this question primarily to help with the speed of entry into the Village Hall and, in view of COVD, the need to eliminate the processing of payments on the door.
Based on this we are now planning to resume our monthly talks in the village hall in September.
Safety is paramount and we shall take a cautious approach initially with limited numbers of attendees and we will not provide refreshments. Obviously we will give full consideration to the prevailing COVID guidelines at that time.
We hope to be back to normal for our 2022 programme. Booking in advance for these meetings will be essential.
A small number of you asked about the recording the Zoom talks or broadcasting the live meetings. If any of you wish to discuss this in more detail and potentially run the streaming at these meetings then please do get in touch with us. We will have to consider the broader issues of the speakers wishes, copyright and their IP.
Our twice monthly virtual talks by Zoom have been a great success reaching out to a wider audience both home and overseas. They have allowed more of you to be able to listen to some fascinating topics. We are delighted to confirm we shall continue with Zoom talks, with one a month once the live talks resume. From our survey Tuesday evenings were your preference.
In conclusion, we would like to thank you for responding to the survey and for your continued support through this most challenging time. While we are unable to meet everyone’s wishes we are keen to be transparent with the results of the survey and give you the basis for our decisions as we move a small step closer to normality.
We look forward to continuing to welcome you to our BMMHS meetings and Zoom talks.
