The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on the Somme highlights four significant battles of the campaign in which five Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light battalions fought. The talk explains the political and military context, yet includes too a significant number of personal stories, anecdotes and legacies relating to those caught up in the actions. The talk is illustrated with contemporary and modern images, maps, photographs and ephemera.
